I am a mustard seed.

Just had my mass at Calamba church with the whole family. Perfect way to celebrate the father's day.

Well, the homily is really really good. It is about the parable of the mustard seed. In the story, the mustard seed is a very small seed and it takes a long time for it to grow. But, once it had reached it's maturity, it'll turn to large and strong plant/tree.

I believe I could relate very well with the parable. My education is my seed and my dream is the tree. I have spent most of my life studying, from pre-school to college. I had my degree at the age of 21. And within those years, I worked hard to develop every aspects of my life to reach my goal/dream.

Now, I am nurturing the seed that I have planted which is my education. I am working my way to get what I really want. I could say that it's not that easy. It takes courage, strength and patience. I am just starting but I could already feel some pressure and hardships.

But, I know so well that to reach it, I really have to go through different challenges.  And most of the time, I am praying. Praying to be positive and to be strong enough. My dream to become a hotelier, to have a restaurant and if fortunate enough, to have my own hotel is pretty impossible. But I know, in God's will, I will have it all. As long as I am firm with my faith, I know I can do it.

Just like the sower of the mustard seed, he waited for a long time. Patience is really a must! But, in the end, he had what he worked for. I know God is good, I will also have what I am working for.
